About the Role

Consunet is seeking outgoing professional candidates to join our Sales and Marketing team to promote and sell Consunet's world class technology products and services. The Technical Sales role is pivotal to drive growth through strategic business development efforts, cultivating new revenue channels and market opportunities. You will be able to learn Consunet's technologies to facilitate identification of solutions to meet customer's needs and demonstrate how Consunet products and services can achieve success.

The Consunet Sales and Marketing team actively participant and contribute to the planning sales strategies and enacting on these strategies incorporating the breadth of experience of the whole team to achieve our growth and diversification goals.

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

  • Identify and Generate New Opportunities: proactively seek out and identify new growth areas and market opportunities through research, networking and prospecting. Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Client Acquisition: develop and implement strategies to attract and secure new clients, including attending industry events and delivering compelling presentations, cold-calling prospects and visiting customers to give presentations or demonstrations.
  • Client Requirements: understand and capture client requirements and work with technical teams to deliver value and refine Consunet's service offerings and product development.
  • Client Onboarding: ensure a seamless transition and comprehensive onboarding process for new clients, fostering strong initial relationships.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure long-term partnerships and customer satisfaction. Work with our Customer Engagement Manager to ensure effective relationships with clients, addressing their needs, resolving issues, and maintaining strong, ongoing relationships.
  • Client Retention: develop and execute strategies to retain clients, maximise their value, and balance advocating for their needs with company goals.
  • Cross-Selling: identify and present additional services and products and solutions to existing clients to enhance their experience and drive business growth.
  • Collaboration: work closely with marketing, innovation, delivery and support, and other teams to ensure alignment on business goals and client needs.
  • Reporting: maintain accurate records and generate detailed reports on activities, outcomes, and performance metrics.
  • Travel and Networking: travel as needed to meet clients, attend industry events, and expand the company's network.
  • Business Acumen: demonstrate strong business acumen and understanding of the industry to effectively represent the company and identify growth opportunities.
  • You will be responsible for coordinating teams, managing resources and guarantee the quality of the service provided to customers.

To be considered, candidates will have:

  • Experience with sales of services and solutions to the Australian market including state / federal government, banking, mining and related industries.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and continuously improve skills and knowledge.
  • Strong customer network within Australian market that can be leveraged for achieving new revenue growth or gain market insights from.
  • Ability to understand complex technology solutions and communicate the benefits and outcomes to prospective customers.
  • Diligent and dependable person with excellent communication skills and a can-do attitude.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to engagement with customers and provide support in response to customer requests, input to tenders / quotes and supporting on larger bids.
  • Self-motivated, pro-active, and enthusiastic with excellent organisation skills.
  • Comfortable working autonomously and as part of a team, and enjoy interacting with people, capable of engaging effectively and empathetically with all staff and visitors.
  • The desirable candidate will have demonstrated technical sales experience in Commercial industries.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer oriented mindset.
  • Strong analytical skills.
