About the Role

We are looking for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to provide core financial management, oversee commercial matters and facilitate our growth strategy. As an integral member of the leadership team, the CFO will shape our financial, governance and risk frameworks, being actively involved in all material business decisions.

Reporting to the CEO and Board, the core responsibilities include:

  • Formulation and delivery of an annual finance strategy including divisional analysis, project financial performance, forecast revenue growth, cash flow and tax planning.
  • Strategic liaison with key stakeholders including banks, tax agents, auditors, insurance brokers, state and federal based regulatory bodies and other statutory agencies.
  • Conducting monthly project financial reviews with project teams and business partnering to support decision making.
  • Balance sheet and working capital management.
  • Ensuring compliance with all tax requirements including, PAYG, FBT, GST, Payroll Tax, Income Tax.
  • Responsible for all financial reporting and the financial audit processes.
  • Accurate and timely delivery of management reports and other financial information.
  • Developing and delivering performance measures (KPIs) for the finance function.
  • Leading and directing the finance and administrative teams for the business by mentoring, performance managing and enabling sustainable team growth.

To be considered, candidates will have:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics or related discipline, or equivalent;
  • CA or CPA qualified;
  • A proven skill-set in supporting the growth of a company through establishing the right process, procedures and systems
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in similar roles; must have experience across management accounting, financial accounting, and corporate finance;
  • Demonstrated experience in detailed financial analysis; planning, forecasting, and budgeting; cash flow projections; market capitalisation and P/E ratios;
  • Excellent verbal communication and advanced writing skills; experience in partnering with senior stakeholders, and effective engagement with non-Finance audiences;
  • Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy;
  • MExcellent time management skills and;
  • Preferable experience in the Defence domain and international jurisdictions.
