The Senior Cyber Solutions Architect plays a critical role in leading and optimising value streams to ensure alignment with enterprise strategy while delivering impactful customer outcomes.

Cyber Security Analyst

Are you passionate about securing software and systems that support national defence? We're seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to play a key role in protecting our products and infrastructure. In this role, you'll collaborate with developers, engineers, and cyber security specialists to embed and test security across the software development lifecycle. Your expertise will directly contribute to our defence capabilities by helping anticipate, detect, and respond to evolving cyber threats.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement secure software solutions, applying security-by-design principles and recognised standards (ISO 27001, NIST).
• Conduct threat modelling, code reviews, vulnerability assessments, and penetration tests to identify and mitigate risks.
• Respond to security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and enhance incident response capabilities and documentation.
• Collaborate with developers and clients to embed secure coding practices and provide expert security guidance.
• Contribute to team development through mentoring, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to security assurance procedures and vulnerability analysis across systems and networks.
• Assist with defence security assessment and authorisation processes.

What You'll Bring

• Experience in Cyber Security Analysting, ideally within defence, government, or critical infrastructure sectors
• Strong knowledge of secure software development, security protocols, and cyber security principles
• Skilled in using vulnerability assessment and penetration testing tools (e.g. Nessus, Burp Suite)
• Familiarity with security frameworks (ISM, PSPF, ISO 27001) and tools like SIEM, IDS/IPS, and threat intelligence platforms
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with strong attention to detail and a proactive mindset

Note: While this role is advertised as Cyber Security Analyst for external alignment and attraction purposes, the internal title for this position is Cyber Security Engineer. The responsibilities and expectations outlined above reflect the full scope of the Cyber Security Engineer function within our team.

Qualifications

• Tertiary education in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Security Clearance

Applicants are required to be Australian Citizens and be eligible to hold and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Eligibility requirements can be found at Australian Government Security Vetting Agency.
